Brunson Family Reunion 2008

Twenty Eight years ago the first "Brunson" grandchild was turning five and Grandpa Dean wanted to do something special with him. So he took Jared over a mountain near McGill, Nevada called Axe Handle. It is about a 4 mile hike. This became a Brunson tradition as each grandchild anxiously awaited turning five and going over the hill with Grandpa. 26 grandkids and approximately 28 great-grandkids later we all look forward to this gathering and the picnic after it! Thank you Grandpa for the fabulous homemade ice cream, the homemade rootbeer, and the great time!

Preparing for the hike! Here we go..........

At this dead tree there is a time capsule buried that is dug up each year and new goodies added to it. We also always take a group picture on this tree!

The entire group that was able to attend this July 19, 2008! What a great family to be a part of! Love the Brunson's!

Grandpa Dean and the great-grandkids that were able to attend this year!

Timber Creek.......Grandpa Dean's favorite place on earth! Look how clear that water is............cold too!

I haven't seen your blog before, it's awesome, I love it! Can't wait to show Nate. (Maybe he's already seen it?...Who knows.) Anyway, that is so exciting about Katie!! I'll have to call Michelle for all the details. Please tell her congratulations for us! That's so wonderful. :)

Kathy! I saw you leave a comment and Katie and Hank's blog. I've thought of your family so often in the last years. Hope all is well for you and your awesome kids. I need to catch up on what everybody is up to. Did Justin make it to law school? Katie?

I don't know if you have our address but stop by www.chroniclesofacrazymother.blogspot.com It typically doesn't contain crazy stories and disgusting wounds like Hanky's but we'd love to have you stop by.
